Why an engineering consultancy built an emissions platform
Flare, vent and fugitive emissions are process engineering problems. The right number depends on the gas composition, the reference conditions of the meter, the combustion efficiency of the flare and the depressurisation profile of a blowdown. Spreadsheets hide those details, and generic carbon tools rarely model them.
FEEC works on upstream facilities such as FPSOs, platforms, separators, relief and flare systems. EmitLedger turns that engineering practice into software: methods written for each source type, explicit units and reference conditions, and a record of how every number was produced.
